How do I get invloved with BMX Racing?

The first things you need:

  • A bicycle - any BMX type and size will do, but it is recommended that you start with one that has no more than a 20" wheel diameter - as that is the allowable limit in the Novice class.
  • Remove any freestyle type axle pegs.
  • All reflectors/brackets must be removed for safety purposes.
  • If your bike has a kickstand, it must be taken off
  • Long sleeve shirt.
  • Long pants or jeans.
  • A helmet. USA BMX recommends a full-face helmet. Many USA BMX tracks have "loaner helmets" for beginners to use.
  • Any enclosed shoe is sufficient. Skateboard style shoes are suggested.

It's fast and fun, and of course there are trophies to be won! Check our schedule to see when we're open, contact our track operator if you have any questions. You can come to the track any day we have practice or a race - just come by, introduce yourself and we will be more than willing to assist you. We have some equipment if you need to borrow some, but you'll want to get your own soon.

There are no age limits in BMX, in fact our track operator races 22 expert and his father races 50 and over cruiser! Classes are broken down by Age and Proficiency
  • Novice
  • Intermediate
  • Expert

As we like to say at the track "No one sits the Bench in BMX".
